New Zealand Disc Golf Championship 2007
Brook Park, Te Kuiti
February 4-6 2007

New disc golf country will be created over Waitangi weekend 2007 when the National Championship is held at Brook Park Te Kuiti.  The course is 2064 m in length and is set among mature tress and undulating terrain in this picturesque part of the country.

The Park itself is located down a short signposted drive just north of Te Kuiti.  The entry is adjacent to the excellent Bosco Café which will be providing our lunches and the Nationals dinner.

As usual the Tournament will be held over three days from Sunday 4 February to Tuesday 6 February – Waitangi Day.  Pre-registration is appreciated by all intending players to allow numbers to be more accurately guesstimated for catering, gift packs etc. Vegetarians (anyone?) will need to indicate their preference so the caterer can prepare accordingly.

The tournament dinner is to be held at the fine Bosco Café. Arrive 6.30 onwards for 7.00pm dinner on Monday night.  Partners and other non players are welcome and will be included for $25.00.  Bosco does not have a bar but is byo.  As most accommodation may be some distance from the park we would encourage the organisation of drivers to be done prior to the dinner.  Lunch on Monday and Tuesday will be catered on site and is included in the registration fee. Registration for the Nationals will be $75.00.

 Doubles

On Sunday the hotly contested doubles championship will be held.  Current singles champ Simon Feasey has pulled out of the doubles event and rumours abound as to form slump and rotation policies.  Rumour has it that Marty ‘the Flinging Dutchman’ de Haas and Gab the Mad Mexican of Mangere have once more teamed up so double yourselves up for the chance of magic and the certainty of mayhem.

Registration: 9.30 - 10.00 on Sunday morning
Players meeting: 10.00  players meeting.
Tee time: Round 1  - 10.30.am.
Tee time: Round 2 -  2.00 pm

N.B.    A subsidised delivered lunch, (no queuing) is available for $10 from Bosco Café for those who indicate they want this option on the pre registration form otherwise lunch is byo.

Singles

Singles as usual promises hot competition enhanced perhaps by Feasey’s “rotary slump“ woes.  New talent is emerging to take on the top group incumbents.  Waihekeians, Wellingtonians and Ultimitians will all press for glory.

Registration: 9.30 am Monday.
Players meeting: 10.00 am.  TD to draw tee groups for day 1 rounds.
Tee time: Round 1 - 10.30 am. TD draw
Tee time: Round 2 - 2.00 pm. Seeded

Annual Dinner: 6.30pm - onwards Bosco Café.

Please note - day two will commence a little earlier to allow for a quicker getaway for travellers at the end of the day.

Players meeting: 9.00 am  Tuesday.  Day two tee groups will be seeded.
Tee time: Round 3  -  9.30 am.  Don’t sleep in!
Tee Time: Round 4  - 1.00 pm.

Prizegiving: 4.00 pm. Followed by clean up.
