Situated on the banks of the mighty Waikato River, Mangakino is a quiet little town with a population of less that 2000. Close to some impressive dams along the Waikato River, Mangakino is a great holiday destination with many outdoor pursuits and water activities available. And as of 2018 it has a disc golf course!
Funded and installed by the Mangakino Central Charitable Trust, the course has 9 baskets with 2 tee off points for each. The gold tees are longer/harder and the maroon are shorter/easier.
