A real favourite on The NZ Tour, this course presents a good mix of tight controlled holes and wide open full powered fairways and all of this on a beautifully groomed park that's easy to negotiate. And so, as you would imagine, the golf is top knotch.
2015 marked 20 years since the Queenstown Gardens Disc Golf Course became the first permanently established one in New Zealand and the inaugural Queenstown Classic disc golf tournament was held there. Twenty years! This momentous occasion clearly required celebrating and in fine style...
The NZ Disc Golf Nationals are always a big affair, but this year was on the next level with several American professionals showing up to fight for the covetted titles. All this on Auckland's Waitawa Regional Park Disc Golf Course, described by multi-World Champ as "the toughest course I have ever played"!
The Scion Redwood course in Rotorua is probably the very best place to kick off the NZDG Tour. At the height of summer if offers ample picturesque shade and challenges every Disc Golf skill you have.
